Social psych -- science that studies the influences with special attention to how we view and affect one another. Scientific study of how ppl think, influenced, and relate to one another. Sociology study ppl in groups and societies. Social psych individual and more experimentation. Our attitudes: we construct our social reality, our social intuitions are powerful, sometimes perilous, attitudes shape and are shaped by behavior. Groups of ppl: social influences shape behavior, dispositions shape behavior. Helping: social behavior also biological behavior, feels and actions toward ppl sometimes. What are social psych"s big ideas: we construct our social reality. When someone"s behavior is consistent and distinctive, we attribute that behavior to his/her personality.
