Zygote (fertilized ovum) moves uterus divides by mitosis 2 cells. Blastocyst -- name given to the ball of cells formed when fertilized egg starts to divide. Inner layer of blastocyste will become embryo. Outer layer of cells will develop tissues that protect and nourish the embryo: implantation -- burrowing of blastocyst into uterine lining.
