When philosophers claim zombies are conceivable, they underestimate conception (imagination) and end up imagining something that violates their own definition. It"s not at all unlikely or implausible that mentalistic vocab would evolve among zombies. If it"s likely we as conscious beings would develop mentalistic vocab, then it must be exactly as likely zombies do. Some zombies do have an inner life . Zimbo = a zombie equipped for higher order reflective informational states. They think, conscious, have qualia, suffer pain. Our ancestral hookups exist in us as part of our innate wiring but can be overridden by a coalition of competing drafts. Zimboes would be as engrossed by sexual fantasies as we are, and unwillingly to. If you deny zimboes would wonder such wonders, you contradict the def of a zombie. Experiential sensitivity and informational sensitivity (pg 5) engage in behaviors they anticipate to be painful. The contrast between zombies and conscious beings illusionary.
