It was a battle between Malcolm and Macbeth, the English and Scottish forces
respectively.
Scene 7
In this short scene, we witness Macbeth and Malcolm’s soldiers fight against each
other for the crown.
Macbeth is once again presented as a strong soldier and ruthless man as he goes
through the enemy forces.
Scene 8
In this scene, Macbeth’s rival Macduff returns to the castle with the intention to
kill the king.
He is determined to get his revenge for his father’s death and looks for Macbeth in
the crowd.
