Learning= process by which experiences change out ns and hence our behavior. Thus, it involves the establishment of connections between circuits involved in perception and those involved in movement: classical conditioning a form of learning in which an unimportant stimulus acquires the properties of an important one. Unconditional response (ur) response that occurs unconditionally, without any special training. Conditional response (cr) eye blink, salvation, response evoked in reaction to cs. Hebb rule says that if a synapse repeatedly becomes activate at about the same time that the postsynaptic neuron fires, changes will take place in the structure or chemistry of the synapse that will strengthen it. Requires us to keep track of and remember not only individual events but also the order in which they occur. Long-term potentiation (ltp): a long-term increase in the excitability of a neuron to a particular synaptic input caused by repeated high-frequency activity of that input.
