Document Summary

Career success is directly reflective of how each individual feels. Therefore, there is no single definition of career success. Ultimately, how we define success is critical to feeling successful on a task or in our career. Career development: the process through which we come to understand ourselves as we relate to the world of work and our role in it. Stable: a person goes directly from their schooling or training into work with which they stay. Conventional: a person tries several jobs until they find a stable one. Unstable: a person never becomes established in one area, instead going from trial jobs to a stable situation and then back to a trial job. Multiple trial pattern: a person tries a lot of different jobs for short periods of time, not staying in any field long enough to achieve stability. Once you have identified your desired career path and set goals to obtain personal success, you need to get started.
