Countercharges that his accuser meletus is the doer of evil. It is evidently better to live among good citizens than bad ones - rather be benefited than injured by the people you live with. Court is a place of punishment not instruction. Instead of corrupting the youth, either socrates did not do such a thing or corrupted them only unintentionally.
