Screen left (steps to right, moving towards left hand edge of frame) Within any sequence filmmaker establishes imaginary 180-deg line from shot to shot so filmmakers can edit scenes smoothly. Times necessary to change screen direction as it is to maintain it. Changing direction within the shot: simply show subject changing direction within the shot. Once established new screen direction you concern yourself with preserving continuity of new direction.
