Movable type- individual characters made from reusable pieces pf wood or metal. Johannes gutenberg developed the mechanical printing press; developed the modern book. The gutenberg bible is also the latin bible. Formed the prototype for all mass production; which allowed individuals to have access to ideas beyond their isolated experiences. Linotype machines- enabled printers to save time by setting type mechanically.
