Job satisfaction is the level of contentment a person feels regarding his or her job. This feeling is mainly based on an individual"s perception of satisfaction. Job satisfaction can be influenced by a person"s ability to complete required tasks; the level of communication in an organization, and the way management treats employees ( (boundless). Studies report that older generations show more satisfaction in their jobs. It is believed the reason for this is t hat older generations have reduced their expectations of the perfect job and accepted the unrewarding work. Lower expectations can lead to more job satisfaction. The elderly who worked years ago found fulfillment in having a secure job profession which gave them the ability to make a living . here little self-fulfillment at work was expected. Another reason why it is said that older workers find more job satisfaction is that their families and community interests eliminates any dissatisfying work.
