Defined as the effect of humanity on earth that causes the extinction and ecological effects due to the exceeding capacity of environment. Also calls it the loss of evolutionary potential. With this he uses the examples of weeds growing and invading the road, that compete in the ecosystem to cover the land, represent the staples of the economy, non-diverse and with short life cycles. Their lives revolve around land and natural resources, such as pasture, forest, honey water, domestic animals. The environment is the heart of their culture and identity. Living on the land for generations they know their way around in order to survive. An example of this is australian aboriginal beliefs about dreamtime, where they believe the world was created by ancestors in the form of animals, clouds, insects, ect. and they believe your spirit manifests within the landscape.
