Self actualization according to maslow, one of the ultimate psychological needs that arises after basic physical and psychological needs are met and self-esteem is achieved, the motivation to fulfil ones potential. Maslow studied healthy creative people and saw that they shared certain characteristics. They were self-aware, self-accepting, loving, open, spontaneous and etc. Carl rodgers was also a humanistic theorist who theorized that all people are basically good and are endowed with self-actualizing tendencies. It is a profound relief to drop out pretences, confess out worsts feelings, and discover that we are still accepted: empathy- when people are empathetic, they share and mirror others feelings and reflect their meanings. Rogers said that these 3 factors help people grow , and create a caring and positive attitude towards themselves. The central feature of personality is ones self-concept.
