Drugs that increase dopamine produce symptoms similar to schizophrenia. Genetic contribution: excess dopamine=antipsychotic drugs that decrease dopamine activity lessen schizophrenia symptoms. Smoking pot=increases dopamine when u have altered sensation/sensations are amplified.
