Make and testing hypothesis: a tentative statement about the relationship between two or more variables. Variables: are any measurable conditions, evets, characteristics or behaviours that are controlled or observed in a study. Once people understand a phenomenon they can control it better. In the profession of psych people attempt to apply research findings to practical problems in schools eg: in schools, bossiness, mental hospitals. Theory: a system of interrelated ideas used to explain a set of observations.
