Biaxin xlis used to treat respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia, bronchitis and infections of the sinuses. It is an antibiotic that kills bacteria in your body by suppressing protein synthesis in bacteria. If a dose is missed, you should take the dose as soon as possible and then return to the normal scheduled dose unless it is almost time for the next dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and take next one as directed. Important to not take double or extra doses.
