Begins with the belief that physiological development drives cognitive and emotional development. Developmentalism- notion that there is something powerful about chronological age and experience in studying someone"s responses to the environment. Very rarely are people so certain in their points of view than they are right now. The older one gets, the more uncertain one gets about strong points of view. Developmentalist is all about ages and stages of points of view. And, if we understand people, we will be better able to help them. For the next little while, we will examine the general trajectory of human development, and we will start by talking about infancy. Infants have the hardest job of all, because in a short period of time, they need to require motor skills, emotional skills, cognitive skills, social skills, and integrative skills. But, develpomentalists tell us, that the way infants learn these skills will fundamentally change the rest of their lives.
