This means that the predictions and expectations one has when taking the fake pills has a direct affect on their outcome through the sheer belief that his health will recover. For example, experiments have proven that saltwater injections have a higher rate of efficiency than that of sugar pills when dealing with minor ailments such as headaches and blood pressure (goldacre 70). I feel this point is significant because we are given insight to how our brain perceives certain treatments, and the effect that has on our body and overall health.
