To accomplish this, he mapped out the motions of the planets more accurately than had ever been done. A planetary conjunction of jupiter and saturn, occurred at a date not predicted by those models. He found that all the predictions of this event were wrong (by ptolemy and copernicus), so this motivated him to come up with his own model. What discovery did tycho make about the supernova of contradict. - contradicted beliefs b/c he believed everything was constant and immortal and tycho proved just like on earth the celestial realm was subject to change and could even experience decay.
