Ronald sears fascination with knives and has been acting delusional (ex: talking to his cat, playing with knives, etc. ) Ronald confided in dorothy and confessed to killing multiple men in the last year. Evidence locker showed the butcher knife and ice pick that dorothy claimed were stolen from their family. Cramped office = invading the suspect"s personal space. Gelencser admits to wanting to scare him with a knife because he feared that he would tell the police. According to voligny, sears was the sexual aggressor, whereas sears told his account of being the passive victim. Sears made an admission that was missing from his other two statements that even as he gently led the sergeant by the arm to the place of slaughter, his intention was murder. Sears tells the story about how he was sexually assaulted at the age of 9. This act made him grow to realize how abhorrent and unnatural homosexuality was.
