Elbow joint contains: three bony articulation of the humerus, radius and ulna. Radioulnar joints: two of them: one at elbow, one at wrist, articulates radius and ulna, allow pronation and supination of the hand and forearm. Radiocarpal joint: articulation of radius and carpal bones, condyloid action allows, flexion and extension, side-to-side deviation. Midcarpal joint: articulation b/w two parallel rows of carpal bones, allows, flexion, extension, some rotation. Metacarpophalangeal and interphalangeal joints: allow, finger flexion and extension. Tibiotalar joint: articulation of the tibia, fibula and talus, hinge joint, limited to flexion and extension. Medial and lateral malleolus: extend from malleolus to foot on their respective sides, help lateral stability, can be torn in inversion and eversion sprains of the ankle. Subtalar joint permits inversion and eversion of the foot. Foot has longitudinal arch, weight bearing distribution b/w the heads of the metatarsals nad the calcaneus.
