Need to meet patient at his/her developmental level, not yours and that may be difficult or impossible (impossible to project forward into a new crisis which limits effectiveness) Every stage of life is denoted by a crisis how we deal with that defines us: age 0-1. Trust vs mistrust in early life, infants must rely entirely upon adults to meet basic physiological needs.
