Trust: the willingness to be vulnerable to an authority based on positive expectations about the authoritys actions and intentions. Trust is only an issue when the person is dependent on the person, which leads to disappointments. Justice: the perceived fairness of an athouritys decision making. Ethics: the degree to which the behaviours of an authority are in accordance with generally accepted moral norms. There are 3 kinds of trust: disposition based trust, cognition based trust and affect based trust. Affect-based trust: this is trust based on feelings. How do they make you feel: we trust because we have feelings for them. Competence: the skills, abilities and areas of expertise that allow the boss to be successful in a specific area. Character: the perception that the boss follows a set of values and principles that the trustor approves. Benevolence: the belief that the boss wants to do good for the trustor.
