The anatomy of organizations, and why organizations today are very different compared to 20 years ago. A company"s ability to respond to business environment and strategic management (analysis, decisions, evaluations). Two models that help managers assess the environment: michael. Porter"s 5-force model and jay barney"s viro model. Corporation: who is responsible?, purpose of the board of directors, stakeholders. Can cause downsizing, other countries feel the effect on another"s changing economy. How an organization functions, obtains resources, and how competitive it is. Can spawn new industries and destroy others. Labourers want to maximize income, business want to maximize profit. Organizations are responsible for their actions, and profit is not their only responsibility anymore. Society, economy, and environment are interrelated and effect each other.
