Researchers examine sources such as films, photographs, bank records, immigration files, etc. Unobtrusive measures is when you observe the behaviour of others who do not know they are being studied. Qualitative research methods: observing, describing, and interpreting peoples behaviour. Validity: extent to which operational definitions measure what they are intended to measure. Reliability: refers to the extent of which different studies result in similar results.
