Best predictor of hard drug use is tobacco. Instrumental drug use is the use of a drug with a speciic, socially approved (including medical) goal. Recreational drug use is self-explanatory the drug is used to have. Drug misuse occurs when a prescription drug is used at a higher dose than recommended by a physician, or when the prescription drug is used for a purpose other than what it was prescribed for. Deviant drug use can occur when a drug is used in a way or in an amount that is not approved of by others who use the drug.
