Individuals asked to complete scale to determine how much stress they"re under. Total number of lcu are added and sum indicates amount of stress. Said people with 300+ more likely to experience physical llness. Life changing event need not be an undesirable one, some can be positive. Looks at many more negative events than positive ones.
