Describe/measure: answers what , observe, record, generate data, naturalistic observation, laboratory observation, case study, if you wanted to do a study about emotion, you would have to find a way to measure emotion. Explain: understanding the causes of behaviour/mental processes, answers why some things occur, requires testing, re-testing, confirmation. Control/influence: experiment, changing a condition/manipulate something to bring out the desired outcome, prevent some behaviours; increase others.
