Proper identi cation of talent has many bene ts. Economically, success of billion dollar sport industry relies on identifying success. Studies suggest less than 1% of athletes participating in sport in high school continue in college: even less become professional athletes. Youth sport is one way to combat obesity. Talent is of interest to coaches, researchers, parents and educators: coaches want it to succeed, researchers want it to compare in success and sport activities. Success of professional sport is based on proper identi cation of athletic talent. Talent is considered an exceptional natural ability to attain goals: athletic talent is natural ability to perform sport-related task or activity. No exact science in discovering athletic talent. One way to seek evidence is identify its existence: autistic savants and child prodigies, they still practice. Also realized that talent can be created. We should be examining physical, performance, and psychological factors depending on whether its current ability or future ability.
