R. v. feeney resulted in new laws about warrants bc of cer didn"t have a valid reason to make arrest without a warrant. Some evidence was excluded but he was still charged with other evidence that they had. Castlake, he had the big yellow marijuana bags in eld. Rcmp searched car to do inventory check and found cocaine and they let them keep the evidence bc it was done in good faith even tho it was unjust arrest or detention. When arrested, have to be told why and be told they can get counsel and how to get the counsel investigative detention.
