People tend to hold values structured around such factors as achievement, power, autonomy, conformity, tradition and social welfare. Notable differences between what different generation have experiences, have led to notable value differences between them. Research shows that anywhere from 16 to 40 percent of managers who receive foreign assignments terminate them early because they perform poorly or do not adjust to the culture. Work centrality: work itself is valued differently across cultures. In small power distance cultures, inequality is minimized, superiors are accessible and power differences are downplayed . Portugal: cultures with weak uncertainty avoidance are less concerned with rules, conformity, security and hard work but risk taking is valued. Austria, venezuela and mexico: the scandinavian countries are the most feminine.
