We"re gonna look at how ppl interact in groups and how groups can end up making bad decisions. A group is a collection of 3 or more people who interact with one another and are interdependent in the sense that their needs & goals cause them to rely on one another. In order to accomplish their goals, they need to rely on one another. Two people are considered to be a dyad. A group is more than just people sharing a space. It is a group of people who assembled together for a common purpose. E. g. group of ppl at party, place of worship, team, class etc. There are many reasons why people join groups. Motivating people to be involved in social change most likely to take part in social action: it was found people who identify most strongly with their group are. Help establish and understand social norms the implicit and explicit rules defining what is acceptable.
