Although intelligence does not necessarily predict occupational success, it does predict the likelihood of entering particular occupations that"s because intelligence is related to academic success. Specific aptitudes might make a person well suited for certain occupations. A particularly crucial characteristic is social skills: social-emotional or interpersonal intelligence is the ability to behave wisely in human relations and to accurately interpret emotions and intentions.
