Task performance: one of the key aspects needed to be a "good performer". It is employee behaviours that are directly involved in the transformation of organizational resources into the goods or services that the organization produces. Routine task performance: well-known or habitual responses by employees to predicable task demands. Varies very little from one instance to another. Adaptive task performance: thoughtful responses by an employee to unique or unusual task demands. Creative task performance: ideals or physical outcomes that are both novel and useful. Job analysis: a process by which an organization determines requirements of speci c jobs. List of all activities involved in the job. Each activity is rated by "subject-matter experts" according to importance and frequency. Activities rated highly are retained and used to de ne their task performance. Becoming more important with globalization and technological advances.
