Chapter 14 - dissemination: reaching and engaging with audiences. Qualitative methods for health research (pp. 361 - 382). (4th ed. ). The knowledge exchange that will occur will primarily involve practitioners who work with these patients, as well as advocacy groups specifically for sle. The aim is to communicate the findings of the qualitative research to colleagues from various disciplines, as well as other practitioners. In some cases, qualitative data is easier to present to professionals due to the simplicity of the accounts of experiences with health beliefs that they can relate to, as opposed to complex statistical analysis. It will be written up using the imrad structure, as this is typical for biomedical journals. Practical issues to consider when writing research reports. In the write up, we will be cautious of over-quoting, and being sure to explain the quotations that are selected. The generalizability will stem from generalized concepts as opposed to statistical representativeness.
