Most of the participants are female, either undergraduate students or community dwelling adults. 2 of the studies only had participants that were sedentary. Framing effects were only observed when the message source had high credibility. 2/4 studies using experimental design found individual beliefs can be affected by messages that incorporate types of info known to be determinants of self-efficacy.
