The purpose and aim of morality: morality is formal system of rules obligating and prohibiting particular actions within a society for purposes of , generating cooperative behavior, regulating interpersonal relations in such a way as to achieve that purpose, for people to live in society they need to know how to behave in order to be safe; allow individuals to cooperatively live together, need to be able to predict how other people are going to behave, biggest challenge in morality is balancing self interest with the interest of others.
