Two roles of evaluation in transforming health. Might be to show results, fix your program, to try and get more funding (depending on context) Suggest two main roles for evaluation in health promotion: To increase the effectiveness of interventions (by learning about why the outcomes are happening) Evaluation tries to attribute a result to an intervention. To support the development and diffusion of innovative practices (using evaluation to learn with the purpose of that learning to be able to think creatively about ways to make more innovative practice or to replicate your program) o. Evaluation and hp projects/programs don"t happen in a vacuum. Health promotion programs always embedded in broader social context. Relationship between what you"re trying to do and the realities of what"s around you (economic, political, social, etc. ) Can make it challenging in trying to figure out how to design an evaluation (methodologically challenging to be able to capture the complexities) o.
