Twenty-five years of developing the roots of health. Since the ottawa charter, health promotion has developed like a rhizome. A system that has many roots, that is connected and heterogenic o: does not respect territory expands continuously o o. Spreads horizontally, a bit anarchically and invisibly, but still successfully infiltrates and influences its environment. Continuously expanding and spreading itself all over: not easily contained in a simple and specific structure has a lot of different options o o o. This kind of creativity and innovation that keeps hp moving forward. Positive analogy but can be tricky in the beginning when trying to understand the main pieces. Better to try and understand that health promotion is this extremely diverse and spread out multifaceted field. If health promotion had the characteristics of both the tree and the rhizome, it might have a stronger impact on the health of populations.
