Blood diamond brought to light the human bloodshed that is part and parcel of the international trade in. Through diamond purchases, people may have unintentionally funded a pointless and ruthless war, filled with killing, rape, smuggling, torture and illegal incarcerations. Many consumers (after seeing the movie blood diamond) started demanding and were soon able to purchase certified cruelty free or conflict free diamonds. Sam labudde aboard the panamanian tuna fishing boat maria luisa made a movie about the slaughter of dolphins. He had gotten a job as a galley cook aboard the maria luisa, but had hidden intent to film the dolphin slaughtering. Fleets of tuna boats had been targeting the easily spotted dolphins to locate the tuna that schooled beneath them. In 3 decades, over six million dolphins were tangled in the massive tuna nets and killed, most drowning before they could be released.
