Geocentric model earth is at the center of the solar system. Heliocentric model sun is at the center of the solar system. Developed earliest model of the solar system (around 530 bc) Pictured earth as stationary object in space surrounded by a sphere containing everything else (even the sun) Objects inside the sphere rotated slowly east at speeds depending on how far away they were from earth. 100 years after tried his hand at the model, but produced nothing better than pythagorus. He experimented with placing the sun at the center instead. He seemed to be able to predict events in the solar system. He moved on to other topics of interest, and never attempted to promote his model. Put earth in the center of things, and everything else on moving spheres. Similar to pythagorus/plato"s model, should have been scraped, but was officially supported by the catholic. Polish scientist who studied law and medicine.
