Personality psychology: the scientific study of the psychological forces that make people uniquely themselves. Ego forces: things that provide a sense of identity or self". Biological being: we each have a unique genetic, physical, physiological, and temperament. Conditioning and shaping: our experiences and environments change us. Traits, skills, and predispositions: differ among individuals. Spiritual dimension: makes us consider our own existence. Interaction: ongoing process between the person and everything else. Scientific interference: the use of systematically gathered evidence to test theories. Correlation coefficient: a mathematical index of the degree of agreement or association between two measures. Deductive approach: an approach to psychology in which the conclusions follow from the premises or assumptions. Inductive approach: an approach to psychology in which observations are systematically collected and concepts are developed based on what the data reveal.
