Aftermath of traumatic experience in which there is an extreme response to a severe stressor and the person experiences increased arousal, avoidance of stimuli associated w/ the event, and anxiety in recalling the event. Primary obsessional slowness: when slowness is the central problem and is not secondary to other ocd symptoms (such as checking and taking really long to do something) (e. g. , performing an act like eating, extremely slowly) Recurrent panic attacks involving a sudden onset of physiological symptoms. Cued panic attacks: when they are associated w/ situational triggers (driving) Exclusive presence of cued attacks most likely reflects the presence of a phobia. Situationally predisposed attacks: when their relationship w/ stimuli is present but not as strong. Uncued attacks: occur in benign states like relaxation or sleep, and in unexpected situations.
