Race has long been implicated with political power. But this argument does not stand because it is also the case that there was a great deal of miscegenation in africa and us. Countries chose different designations to deal with race. Brazil they ignore it and africa reclassifies them. Brazil classifies people not by race but colour of people from dark to light. When it ended, black status was what was discussed. Race does not exists biologically or scientifically but we have a reality of race.
