Comorbidities; obesity, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease. Two main pharmacological treatments are either mineral mood stabilizers (lithium) or anticonvulsant mood stabilizers (valproic acid, lamotrigine, and carbamazepine) Gsk-3 adds phosphate groups to specific proteins and modifies their activity.
