He arrives at an inn where he is mocked by two women and quickly gets defensive. He convinces him that knights have to pay at inns because authors of chivalric books don"t write in those details but they are there. He was later dubbed a knight. (he thinks) Chapter 4: don quixote sees a man whipping his slave for missing sheep and lost wages, and he tries to reprimand the man into letting the boy go.
