Demeter and her daughter persephone and how hades basically abducted her. Demeter was super sad, no one wished to tell her the truth until hecate told her. Demeter went to celeus and in there, a family asked her to nurse. She did and the child became super strong. At night she would put the baby to rest in the great fire, if she continued to do that, he would have been immortal and never grow old but alas, the mother saw late one night and screamed. Demeter was pissed since she had blessed the child, not torture it and in her anger, threw the baby on the floor. Persephone staying 1/3 with hades, 2/3 with her mother. Myth of demeter and persephone represents the death and rebirth of plants. Persephone is the daughter of demeter and zeus. (sacred marriage between earth goddess and sky god) He is the one who taught and spread her arts of agriculture to new lands.
