Archaeology the study of material remains and their spatial relations ships to interpret the past; ultra-interdisciplinary. Sub-disciplines: archaeology, socio-cultural anthropology, linguistic anthropology, biological (evolutionary) anthropology. The sum of all physical evidence from the past. Because of intervening cultural and natural processes, the archaeological record is not usually a dire(cid:272)t refle(cid:272)tio(cid:374) of past (cid:271)ehaviour.
