They wanted to stress the importance of enabling people to attain their human potential. Existence (1958)- introduced european existentialism (a doctrine that concentrates on existence of the individual, who being free an responsible, is held to be what he makes) Kierkehaard was a danish philosopher who was preoccupied with the nature of human choice. Kierkehaard did not believe that the ethical alternative of living by a rigorous set of idealistic principles was superior to the aesthetic way of life. The influence of friedrich nietzsche on european thought was considerable during his lifetime and this influence has continued to provoke and disturb people until this day.
