Condition became so common, it has its own unique intervention; workers called. Rentaru oneesan" or rental sisters, come to the patient"s house and carry a surrogate sibling relationship. Hikikomori can be cultural specific, as the situation wouldn"t be present in other cultures, or even the causes for the disorder. Hikikomori doesn"t fit in the dsm-iv which is american shows cultural differences.
