Manners/behaviors differ across cultures because people are socialized or exposed to different set of norms and customs. Cultures change so as manners as new ideas emerge and conditions change. For example, younger generation is different from their parent"s generation. Ecologies; the different environments affected the ways that people went about living their daily lives. Our lifestyles and behaviors depend on the physical environment that we live in. Cultural differences can originate in geographical differences. Geographical differences can influence cultural differences in ways of thinking. Cultural norms can arise as direct responses to features of the ecology or they can arise because of learning from other individuals. A behavior that is present in a specific situation (i. e. under threat) People learn about particular cultural practices through social learning or by modelling others who live close them. The same region/geography can still result in quite different cultural practices.
